The news comes from a blog post on the game’s official website (via Eurogamer), where Hardsuit Labs’ CEO Andy Kipling and writer Brian Mitsoda said the delay was to provide further polish to the game ahead of release.
While the delay is certainly unfortunate news for those excitedly awaiting the game’s previous release of March 2020, it’s heartening to see Hardsuit Labs pushing for a well-polished product at launch.
On the flip side, there’s the responsibility to avoid some of the issues that plagued the first game, which was famously launched too early. Over the last few months, it became clear that to stick to our original date would risk repeating that mistake. We won’t do that. In the end, everyone working on this game wants to offer you the best Bloodlines 2 we can.

Neither Hardsuit Labs nor publisher Paradox Interactive provided a new launch date for the game. As of now, Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is set to release later in 2020 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A release close to Halloween would be delicious …
