Still, adding it to your inventory is well worth the grind, as traversing the world on the back of a mythical mechanical creature is way cooler than whatever the starting vehicle is. Here’s how to find the four parts you need to ride the unicorn. while one of them is pretty easy to come by, the others are a pain. We’ll cover the parts you need in order of difficulty.
Where to Find the Monocross Unicorn Parts
Power Core Location
By far the longest part of the quest for the Monocross, you should start your search for the Power Core by making a Fiddlehead Pie. You’ll need two Fiddlehead plants, which you can find around Banges Tech, and two stalks of Brown Rice, which you can find in the grasslands of Navia.
Once you have two Fiddleheads and the Brown Rice, go to any cooking station and select Creation at the bottom of the menu. Add the ingredients to the cooker and get cooking. You might not get Fiddlehead Pie on the first try, so continue putting ingredients in until you get it or achieve 100% success.
Next, go to The Lab Spacerift and head northwest. You should see a large blue and red crystal formation.
As you face it, go to the left side against the cliff face, and you should see a shiny item on the ground. Pick up the Strange Residue there.
With the Fiddlehead Pie and Strange Residue, teleport to The Lab Spacerift again and head directly south. You’re looking for a character named Stoker. He’s nestled in an alcove on the west side of Area 4, but the easiest landmark on the map is the Tutorial marker at the very end of the Goldrush Mountain label. You’ll see a cross-hatch of steel beams in the wall.
Go to the area behind the beams and give the Strange Residue and Fiddlehead Pie to Stoker. Exhaust his dialog, then head back to the crystal formation. There are now three devices in front of it. Activating them will bring up a Switch to Gear menu. From left to right, select:
Gear 3 Gear 1 Gear 2
Once the three devices are active, a brief cutscene will play, and you’ll be able to collect both the Ore Chunk and the Unicorn Power Core.
Bionic Frame Location
Getting the Bionic Frame is a two-part process. First, travel to the Southern Naa Fjords Spacerift north of the Warren Snowfield, then make your way across the ice to the large circular structure even further north called Dawn Frontier.
From one of the ice platforms, use the Jetpack to reach the side and climb up. Go to the complex door and enter the code 7092 to enter.
Once inside the complex, turn around until you come across patrolling AI Helper guards that look like floating crabs. You’ll need to stealth your way past all of them, down a set of stairs, and around one final Helper to reach an alcove with a Supply Pod.
You’re in the right place when you come to the patrolling Helper in the short hallway. The Pod is in the alcove to the left of the short hall.
Unicorn Head Location
It wouldn’t be a Tower of Fantasy rare item quest without some RNG. To get the Unicorn Head, you need to farm to specific enemies in the Navia region, specifically Devotee Noah and Devotee Eber. Both have a less than 1% chance of dropping the item, so expect to farm them for a while.
Devotee Noah Location
Head northwest from the Parliament Spacerift and up the cliffs to the Small Stronghold at the bridge’s north end. Devotee Noah rests next to the bridge here.
Devotee Eber Location
Travel to the Crown Omnium Tower, then east-by-southeast to the Small Stronghold on the coast. Devotee Eber will be sitting against a shack there.
Unicorn Cyberlimbs Location
The easiest way to get to the Unicorn Cyberlimbs is to travel directly south from the Warren Snowfield Peak Spacerift in the zone’s northwest.
You’re looking for a water tower high on a hill. There are three Treasure Guardians at the tower’s base. Defeat them, use the Jetpack to jump onto the platform, and collect the Cyberlimps from the Supply Pod.
Once you collect all the pieces of the Monocross Mount, go into the Vehicle screen and unlock it. Be sure to equip it to show off to all the other Wanderers who don’t have it yet. Go after the Maglev Stalker next, and check out our best Weapons tier list while you’re here too. Head to our Tower of Fantasy guides hub for more content.
